YanıtlaSilIssues of today are sharing father's name and influences of first names.Let's get start to discuss first issue.First of all,the topic is soo dull.In other words,the author couldn’t manage to keep me interested in the text because the author always repeat himself.Although there are a few sample of speaker,they always say similar things.Moreover,this topic is not worth to write.For sake of god,what kind of people specialize in source of names.Therefore,I was shocked that I heard the science of omnastics.I have never heard that much outlandish study.Finally,a professor states that sharing father's name is a dying breed.Nowadays,parents change their mind so there is more emphasis on individualism,and parents worry about inconveniences.I think that the more education parents get,the fewer inconveniences happen.Let's get start to discuss the second reading text.Firstly,the topic is too subjective.For example,the author says,' people who are named Mohammed and people who are named Jesus are considered that they are closer to the religion.However,most of the people may consider unlike the author.Because people have different taste and like,the author should not have written this kind of things.If not,the consequences may be severe.In addition,I have to state that this second topic also soo dull like the first topic.Because this text cannot show like a knowledge,this topic is also waste of time for people who read this text.Honestly,I wish I had had chance not to read this text in order to save my fifteen minutes

YanıtlaSilIt is a really common situation that children are named after a family member's name because of many reasons. In the text the author game some specific examples about this issue. Some of the parents choose the same names because they want their children to have same good character. Some of them want to honor death relatives. Some of them only do the same thing whar has been done to them. Unfortunately, none of them thinks whether their children will like it or not. This choice can be right or wrong. At the early ages, when they go to school they can be affected in a bad way if they are named with female or male version of their relatives' name. This is an annoying situation, is not it? On the other hand, they can feel good if they are named after a person who is appreciated. They might want to be like that person. This public way which is being used by many parents may cause some confusion. To set an example, if a child and her or his cousins are named by the same way, it is possible that they are not able to understand which of them is called out. I my point of view, the author gave good examples which I have mentioned or I have missed to emphasis. because of that, I liked this text. Eventually, sharing the same name with some members of the family can be a good or bad choice for the children, so parents ought to think deeply before they name their children.

YanıtlaSilFirst of all I want to say that the text was quite boring not because of I do not like the book, I just didn't like the topic.At some parts texts was trying to demonstrate that having the same name with your father is a good thing but I don't agree with that. Every creature wants to be unique in the world. The only part I like about this text is that honoring the beloved dead ones . I think it is a loyal thing to do. Forexample I was named after my mother's grandfather and I am proud of it. Also I really can't find convenient that naming your child with your own name would influence the personality of the child .

YanıtlaSilThese two articles interested me.Why?Because when my teacher asked to class whose name was came from relatives,five students raised their hands,so it is a really important subject to discuss.In my estimation,first reading gave us a lot of examples about issue,and it was a little informative than second reading.Second reading is focused on some results of these names,and I think that is what we have to discuss.We have already known first paragraph's meaning ,and it was a waste of time,but some examples which are uniqur for our country were impressed me,also some quotations are paid reader's attention.On the other hand,second passage's of third paragraph which is written King David,David Beckham...part influenced me because it is really happenig like that now.

YanıtlaSilNames were our topic of this reading lesson.We read two different texts about names.The first reading in the book had types of circumstances.Basicly,this text put emphasis on name aftering.I want to say something about this issue.My maternal grandfather named me after himself ,and my first name was given bu my parent.I love both of them and have no problem with my names,but in my point of wiev havin an individual name is better.At this point I agree with the text about individualism part.Text said that young parents don't want their child to have common name.In my opinion,common names will decrease with my generation.About second text,there were more general informations about names,It is written how names affect our personalities and also other's opinion.I want to comment on having a Biblical name.I think having a names which comes or reminds us famous successful people have good effects on our feelings and being self confident.Thank you writer for effort.See you in the next journal...
What we have got here is another bad topic as usual. What a surprise? This time, I am not going to talk about how bad the texts are a lot, but seriously what kind of texts these are. The topics of our book are always like answer to question of what could happen worse in our life. Day by day, we come across another bad topic. However, if I need to talk about the content, I say there is not much to say. I believe it is a good thing to name a child after beloved or respected ones. Nevertheless who name a kid after himself; it is some kind of narcissism. By the way, the text on the worksheet was a little bit better than the other, because it is a bit educational about the origins of names. After all, it is bad because it discriminates people by their names.

YanıtlaSilFor me ,naming a child after someone is a logical thing.To honor someone,you can give his/her name your child.In first text,it was mentioned and I liked to see that my ideas are also common.When I consider the examples ,I didn't see anyone who doesn't like her name because of its someone else's name.Everyone gets used to it and loved their names.Not only they like their names but also they and experts think that these kind of names give them self-confident and comfort.If you are named with a biblical name such as David,Joseph or something like that,the expectations are getting higher for you.I think,some cannot handle this.After all, I don't see any wrong part that parents want to name their child such strong names.Everyone wants to see their child strong.Both two text were good to read .I hope,I will continue to like them.
I guess each person must be original therefore naming after child grandparents is the most nonsensical thing. Why do parents want that their child resembles to other people? I have only one expectation for my child in the future. My child must not resemble to other people.I do not understand why my son must take Achilles's courage when I choose a name which has a courageous connotation name him .If I want to courage son, I will raise my son accordingly this, and also I want to say something about birth order.In my estimation, first child always be cavy. Parents are inexperienced, and they may make some mistakes, and it makes many psychological disorders in the future. I believe birth order affects our personal features at least % 70

YanıtlaSilJunior Status: Sharing Dad's Name a Mixed Bag
I always interested in names. When I hear a different name, I try to learn what it means. Some of them have very interesting meaning, but I think names don't effect one's personality. They are just names! That's all. However geneticts can effect human personality. That's why children inherit their fathers' personality and behavior. It is not because of names. Names cannot effect personality but it effects people psychologically. Thus, children never feel independent. Maybe, he lost his personal identity. This is a important information which I really liked in the text. Not only this information but also I liked Samuella Becker's story. She must have a sensitive mother. To sum up, usually, I don't like this book's reading parts, but I liked this. It was quite interesting. I enjoyed it.

YanıtlaSilIn my humble opinion it is a debatable issue,but I believe that names affect our personalities.I cannot say that I believe it because of my personality because there is no connection between my personality,and my name. In the chapter the author said that people who have a Biblical name feel closer to the religion than the other people who have not this type name.I cannot agree with it, but like I said before it is a negotiable topic, it changes person to person, noone likes the others. For the sake of example in order to explain why I think that names affect personality of people I can say Scarlet Johansson :D If I am not wrong Scarlet means red. When I think red, beauty,attraction or something like that come to my mind.(oh my goodness where did I come?)If we come back to the book, some people give their names to their offsprings. It is a way to state that this one belongs to me.There is no certain expression, but I guess the author think it is a bad thing. Maybe it is a bad thing,but I cannot decide that. If I were a famous person, I could have wanted to be called, and I could have given my name to my children. Now I write what I must write; altough there is no reason what I can say, I do not like these paragraphs.
